When is a Topper NOT the Best Option
Many with thinning hair prefer a topper over a wig. But this isn’t the best or safest option for everyone.
We recommend wigs over toppers if any of the following apply:
- Hair is currently shedding.
- Hair is so thin that clips will put more tension on the hair follicle which would result in further hair loss or even bald spots.
- There is no safe place to clip at the front, sides, or back.
- Overly sensitive scalp.
The customer featured below has been wearing a topper throughout her hair loss journey. She came to us wanting to find a new topper. We tried on many base sizes with various clip configurations. No matter how large the base, there simply wasn’t enough hair to safely clip in and provide a secure fit.
